PlanetWise
Product Overview
The Green Hospitality Suite offers functionality that targets the hospitality industry. Emphasis is placed on the Hotel and associated industries such as National Parks, Cruise Ships and other Tourist Accommodation type facilities. These industries can utilise this module to control and monitor internal environmental related business processes such as water use, waste management, electricity usage, and environmental impact assessments. This tool is also useful from a Marketing perspective. Great emphasis is placed globally on Environmentally Friendly Institutions. Organisations can publish their “Green Initiatives” on a Public Website to demonstrate that “Greening” has been achieved as opposed to marketing green issues conceptually. Integration to other modules in the PlanetWise Product Suite also makes a lot of sense from a Business perspective. If consideration is given to the CITES Module, National Parks can benefit from
this integrated approach. The impact on CITES Species can be seamlessly determined where a National Park need to cater for waste water, building of new roads or other environmentally sensitive projects. International Role Players and Governance Driven Institutions will also be able to set standards for various activities that require monitoring. The web‐based technology utilised by PlanetWise enable Stakeholders to share information on a Global Platform. This product further paves the way forward to setup an accreditation/scoring system that participating organisations can utilise as a marketing tool.
