Product Overview

Carbon Dioxide Management has become a Global Concern in terms of findings and predictions made by the Scientific Community. A large number of factors influence these “Greenhouse” affects. Among these are natural causes such as “Methane” buildup in ocean floors such as the “Santa Barbara” basin of the United States Coast. Other factors are manmade and include industrial activities such as “Coal Fired Power Stations” and “Petrochemical Plants”. The understanding of these influences is not new but the way we measure and manage the effect of these triggers have changed over the last 10 years. The term “Carbon Footprint” is in use widely in all aspects of our society. This module focuses on the management and measurement of “Carbon Foot Printing” where manufacturing business processes are involved. At the core of this module is the ability to measure end to end manufacturing/business processes with the ability to manage and measure individual steps in such a process from a Co2 emission perspective. Of significance is the incorporation of “Best Practice” models as found in industries World‐Wide. This positions clients at the leading edge in terms of being “Environmentally Friendly”. This “Green” status can subsequently be used in various Product Marketing Initiatives. PlanetWise envisage that a “Green Footprint” score will become part and parcel of consumer products in years
to come. Collaboration in terms of sharing scientific papers and other Co2 related publications are enabled through the ECM (Enterprise Content Management) module. Governing and Permit Issuing Authorities can also utilise this “Co2 Portal” to issue permits and manage/monitor corrective action initiatives. The GIS component enables Stakeholders to overlay various pollution layers in order to determine the combined effect of individual pollution sources. These overlays can also be extracted across International Political Boundaries.
