Product Overview
The PlanetWise CITES solution caters for both the Permitting and Scientific Processes that are
currently used by the CITES Community. By combining these functional areas a holistic product can
be made available to the International CITES users that cater for Administration as well as
Management thereof. Information sharing is made available internationally through a web‐based
interface. Member Countries can seamlessly share information and permits through this electronic
medium.
The application will standardise code structures across Countries and make the exchange of trophy
and scientific information well defined and structured. This unique information platform will take
decision making and proactive intervention to a new level.
The product is configurable across countries, provinces, regions, geographic areas etc. By using the
same database repository, information sharing at all levels of stakeholder participation is possible,
therefore positioning the product as a Global Tool for Environmental Management Initiatives.
